Our Arduino Compatibles: Nano, Uno, Mega, Pro Mini and Mini
What is Arduino?
The term "Arduino" is used to describe a hardware and software platform for learning to program microcontrollers, which pleases great popularity worldwide. Since the advent of the Arduino platform, it has become easier to enter the world of microcontrollers. It has also made it possible for beginners such as students, artists or makers to integrate the "power of microcontrollers" into their projects.
Our Arduino products
Our range includes Arduino compatible boards in different sizes and with different functionalities. All 8-bit processors used on the modules clock at 16 MHz and offer enough memory for most applications.
Our compatible Arduino boards are both pin and code compatible with the original Arduino controllers and can thus be comfortably programmed in the Arduino IDE.
In our range you will find a large selection of accessories such as sensors, displays, relays, shields and much more, which work with the operating voltage and signal level of the Arduino boards and can be easily integrated into new or existing projects thanks to free libraries.
In our practical Starter Kits you will also find a selection of modules and components with instructions to get started in the world of microcontrollers in the best possible way.
As usual, pinouts, data sheets and instructions are available for download on the product detail pages of our Arduino products.
Arduino Mini / Pro design
The Mini or Mini Pro is the most compact of our Arduino compatible boards. Like the larger designs, this module is equipped with an ATmega328p from ATMEL and thus has the same performance as well as the usual memory space for the program code. A USB interface was omitted in this design in favour of the construction form. The Mini / Mini Pro is therefore primarily suitable for permanent installation in housings or for use on circuit boards.
Arduino Nano design
The Nano V3 is the second smallest module after the Mini / Mini Pro. The controller is equipped with an additional USB interface, which makes handling much easier. Since the lateral pins of the Mini / Pro have been omitted, the module is particularly breadboard-friendly and is suitable for both beginners and advanced users. The Nano V3 is available in several versions. Shields for easy plug-on are available as accessories
Arduino UNO design
Development boards in UNO design are probably the best known and most widely used Arduino compatible boards. Many shields are available for easy plugging onto the controller. The shields not only extend the functionality of the controller, they also minimize the wiring effort in many electronics projects. Prototyping shields make it easy to integrate your own circuits. In addition to the USB interface, all controllers in UNO format also have a hollow socket for the power supply. Different versions of the Arduino-compatible boards in UNO format are available.
Arduino MEGA2650 design
The MEGA2650 is the largest Arduino compatible board in our range. With this model, the proven ATmega328p was replaced by the larger ATmega2650, as it has significantly more interfaces and also a much larger program memory. With over 50 GPIOs, the MEGA2650 is also sufficiently dimensioned for larger projects. Of course, the boards, like the controllers in UNO design, are equipped with a USB interface and a practical hollow socket for power supply. Some UNO shields can also be used on the MEGA2650.
FAQ
What can you do with an Arduino?
Arduino-compatible boards are extremely versatile. Even though the modules were originally developed for learning purposes, they are now even used in some industrial modules. Popular projects include: Data loggers, LED installations, weather stations, 3D printers, cocktail machines and M&M's sorting machines.
What sensors are available for Arduino?
There are countless sensors available for the Arduino that enable values to be recorded and processed. Our range includes, for example: Light, UV, IR and colour sensors, sensors for temperature, humidity, soil moisture, air pressure and gases, load cells, touch sensors, light barriers, line followers, distance meters, cameras and much more.
In which language is Arduino programmed?
Arduino-compatible boards can be ideally programmed within the Arduino IDE. Arduino provides its own language reference for this purpose and is strongly oriented towards C or C++. However, the Arduino-compatible boards can also be programmed with more professional programming environments such as PlatformIO or Atmel Studio. Graphical programming environments such as Visuino are also available.
