The DS18B20 temperature sensor with stainless steel housing is a versatile and reliable sensor that can accurately measure temperatures in a wide variety of applications.
The sensor has a 1-wire interface, so it can communicate with microcontrollers and other devices via a single line. It has a temperature range of -55 °C to + 125 °C and operates with an accuracy of ± 0.5 °C in the range of -10 °C to + 85 °C.
This temperature sensor is simple in use and requires only a few external components. The sensor can be operated over a wide voltage range (3.0 V to 5.5 V), which makes it compatible with a wide range of microcontrollers and development boards.
The stainless steel sleeve, in which the sensor is located, is cast with epoxy resin, this variant comes without a heat-shrinkable tubing and is therefore waterproof only to a limited degree. For use in wet environments, we recommend purchasing our shrink tube set to seal the sensor.

Description

The AZ-Delivery 1M Cable DS18B20 Digital Temperature Sensor provides from 9-bit to 12-bit Celsius temperature readings and has an alarm function with non-volatile, user-programmable upper and lower trigger points. The sensor does not require standby power, meaning that when temperature data is not being read, the sensor consumes no power at all.

Special Features

  • Thanks to the unique 1-wire interface, the sensor requires only one port pin to communicate with a microcontroller.
  • Each sensor has a unique 64-bit serial address, so multiple sensors can operate on the same one-wire bus.
  • Thanks to one meter cable length leeway when mounting the sensor. Due to the cable also conditionally suitable for outdoor applications. However, without heat shrink tubing on the metal sleeve.
